I was lucky this weekend to get to see some really fine theater.
Check out the following if you can before they close:

A Little Journey at The Mint Theater
The Mint specializes in neglected plays. This one by Rachel Crothers

Garage  by Dive Theatre at the Richmond Shepherd
This play is a developmental piece. A beautifully intense piece, Time Out NY gave it 4 out of 5 stars!! it runs for one more week!

Romeo and Juliet & The Crucible at Sink or Swim Rep- I am planning on seeing The Crucible too, but this weekend, I caught R&J. It appears they worked with an uncut script, which means those who know Shakespeare and the play, get to see some scenes and text normally cut in a shorter version. Great acting from the ensemble as a whole.

I'm personally finishing up a run of Mad Mel and the Marradians  written by Gary Morgenstein at the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Audiences are enjoying the evil plot of aliens to invade and take over earth. We have 3 shows left and tickets can be purchased here!

And that is the weekend update.
